The bulk of Monster In My Pocket toys was released between 1990 and 1996, though their popularity had peaked around 1993. By 1996 the various spin-offs, such as Monster Ninja Warriors In My Pocket, were having limited regional releases and had nowhere near the massive, international appeal as the first few sets of original series monsters.

The first three series, in particular, were arguably the most popular, as the most licensed memorabilia was produced during this time; the cartoon, comic books and video game, for example, were all based solely around monsters from series one through three.

With this in mind, presented here is information on each individual series. Additional information about other memorabilia that was released to coincide with each series can be accessed from that particular page–for example, information on the trading cards, which featured the first 48 monsters and were released through the Collectors Club, click on the “Series 1″ section.
